The .vantronix | Firewall XL1 is a 3rd party firewall module for
HP ProCurve 5300xl switches *. The
highly integrated .vtFW XL1 solution to extend existing or
new HP ProCurve setups with an intelligent EDGE firewall. The
integrated dual Gigabit Ethernet interface is directly connected to
the switch backplane. And of course, this is based on the powerful
.vantronix Security Appliance platform.

Intelligent EDGE Firewall.
The firewall module is the optimal solution for the integration in HP
ProCurve network environments. For example, it can operate as a
transparent firewall and highly redundant firewall to protect branch
networks, intranets and multiple VLANs.

The .vtFW-XL1 can be expanded into a high-quality redundant firewall solution
with further models without any effort. No matter if in the same or
other switch chassis.
You can use the firewall module in any empty slot of the HP ProCurve
5300xl switch series, even with multiple firewall modules in a single
switch. The modules are sharing the powerful switch backplane, and
you can extend the solution with additional Gigabit Ethernet, fiber,
or even access and radio modules into complete network solution in a
switch.

The .vtFW-XL1 is a 3rd party product that is fully integrated into the
HP ProCurve management environment.
.vantronix provides a profile for the Configurable Integration
Platform of the HP ProCurve Manager / ProCurve Manager Plus (PCM+).
This allows to discover, manage, and operate the .vantronix | Security
Appliances with a powerful network management system.

Support of the .vtFW-XL1
product is provided by .vantronix at +49 511 338 599 770. This
customized product is not warranted or supported by HP. No end user
warranty is provided by HP. End user may be provided with warranty by
.vantronix.
If warranty support for the hardware is required, it must be returned
to .vantronix and not to HP. .vantronix may send it to HP after
removing all custom markings and replacing the software prior to
requesting warranty service from HP.
