Talk at the Slackathon 2008 in Sweden
|
|
Reyk Flöter will talk at this years Slackathon, the annual
fundraising event for OpenBSD in Stockholm, Sweden. He will talk
about the recent advances in OpenBSD's relayd like Direct-Server-Return,
the dynamic IPv4/IPv6 gateway, and other improvements.
The .vantronix Security Appliances are driven by OpenBSD and the
relayd, with many state-of-the-art features for enterprise
loadbalancing, firewalling, VPN-gateways, network Anti-SPAM, and
dynamic IPv4/IPv6 gateways. The products are available in various
countries including Sweden via the .vantronix | Sales Partner
Scandinavian Computer Supply AB.

Actebis Peacock extends VAD portfolio with security appliances by .vantronix
|
|
From now on Actebis Peacock sells the security appliances by
.vantronix | secure systems GmbH as part of their
"Value Added Distributor" (VAD) program.
Actebis Peacock is the German division of the Actebis Group which
is the third-largest wholesale group for ICT in Europe.

Green IT: .vantronix on TV at March 7
|
|
The German TV channel NDR will broadcast a report about Green
IT in the series "computer.welt - Best of CeBIT 2008: The
latest trends at the world's biggest technology fair in Hannover".
A part of the report is dedicated to the .vantronix |
greenbalancing solution, providing an energy-saving
operation to customers with complex applications. The solution
ensures that systems in a server pool will be dynamically enabled or
powered down based on the required computing resources. This prevents
energy consumption of unneeded server capacities.
The solution will be presented together with our partner Hostway Germany, operator of the
biggest data center in the region. Hostway Germany also addresses
effective energy-saving concepts for climate control, like the optimal
use of open-air flow cooling.

.vantronix is located in a new office since January 1st,
Am Mittelfelde 29 instead of number 39.
The new location provides a better infrastructure,
a direct link to the state of the art data center from
Hostway Germany
and enough space to extend our services and activities.

.vantronix improved the look of the 2nd generation firewall
products by adding an unique front panel: the .vantronix grill.
Of course, everything remains as it is including the world-class
security, the reliable stability and the optimized functionality of
the .vantronix security appliances; it is just the grill made of stainless steel
improving the authoritative appearence of the C1, C2, or HA1
firewalls in your data center.
A new product is the .vtFW-EM2P,
the more powerful and flexible fan-less embedded firewall for your
office or co-location. Featuring a better performance, integrated hardware crypto,
and 8 Fast Ethernet ports as a perfect complement to the classic
.vtFW-EM1P ROBO firewall.
